How it
started

The creators of this blog met at a Milan bar in late September 2017. The English school they were working for at the time was holding their monthly aperitivo, a chance for the teachers to meet their new colleagues in a friendly, informal atmosphere. Standing at the bar with a pint in hand, Tommaso couldn't care less: a television was showing Serie A, and the small talk of his fellow co-workers was to him nothing more than dull background chatter. When an attendee called out his impolite lack of participation, Ruairi promptly stepped in. "Leave the man alone, the game is clearly more exciting than your conversation!" he said in a thick northern accent. Tommaso thanked him, and Ruairi shook his hand. The two watched what was left of the match and spent the rest of the evening sharing stories about their love for the beautiful game. That day marked the beginning of a friendship that still today thrives on and revolves around football. It's what we like to call... the Anglo-Italian Connection.

Our Twitter & the blog

Two years down the line, we still find the conversations happening around us extremely uninteresting unless they are about football. Matter of fact, 80% of what we talk about is football. Be it legendary games and players from our childhood or current transfers and tactics, we discuss pretty much anything in the footballing universe. That's why we've decided to open this platform, so that we can share our passion with the millions of people who suffer from our same disease. We don't claim to know more about the game than you do, we simply imagine that you love it just as much. If you are looking for your weekly dose of football, that's exactly what we are here for. We just want to get you as high as we are on anything connected to the world's most beautiful game.
